My thoughts exactly. There's no point in it. A robbery in front of multiple witnesses, okay, that I can believe. But to then simply shoot the girl in the head after, and not even consider touching the boyfriend? No, just no. The intent had to have been to kill her.

Either that or the intent was simply just to kill a random person, and the robbers/killers chose her unfortunately.
