18 Year Old Girl Gets Throat Slashed

Interesting case here. Happened last year in Argentina but was recently reopened.

18 year old girl is found as you see below, raped, beaten, and her throat slashed. She was known locally for attending 'sons of power' parties, which are apparently like 'key parties' for the young heirs of local politicians, drug lords, and rich businessmen.

Despite that, however, some broke-joke ne'erdo-well is fingered for her murder. He claims innocence and has an alibi, but they 'find' her missing underwear (stained with urine, fecal matter, and smears of semen) in his bedroom closet at home. Suddenly his girlfriend pops up and changes her story, claiming that he'd asked her to lie about his whereabouts that night.

So off to jail he goes. But he isn't there an hour (and thus no interrogation) when he is mysteriously found hanging in his cell. Cops pin it all on the dead kid, case is closed.

Until two weeks ago. Dead girl's mother answers a knock at the door and finds a blank envelope containing a cd. On the cd are 5 photographs of her dead daughter (two of which are included here) that were not part of the police's crime scene photos. Who took them? No one knows. But particular attention was drawn to the photo of her hand, wherein she is seen clutching several strands of longish blond hair.

Problem with this? Yeah...you guessed it. The kid who 'hung himself' after being arrested for the murder had jet black hair, worn extremely short.

So of course mom is screaming about a 'sons of power' cover up. Local constabulary is playing stupid, politicians are turning a deaf ear, and that ol' latin American justice is looking pretty bleak.
