Sorry for a few days of inactivity because I was hospitalized for a few days, but I am okay right now.

Several policemen involved are now facing both administrative and criminal (murder & anti-torture law) charges. Meanwhile, a University of the Philippines Diliman student (although absent, not sure whether on leave or AWOL due to medical problems) was shot dead by police in relatively the same manner as this guy on thread. I will post the details on another thread as soon as possible if I can get the uncensored crime scene, morgue & funeral pictures.

UPDATE: Three police officers were found guilty of murder today. They were sentenced to "reclusion perpetua" or 40 years without parole. Here's the full description:

Policemen guilty in K.D.S. killing

(3rd UPDATE) The cops face the penalty of reclusion perpetua, or imprisonment for 20 to 40 years, without eligibility for parole

MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) – A regional trial court in Caloocan found 3 policemen guilty of murdering 17-year-old K.D.S. – the first conviction of abusive cops in President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs.

Caloocan Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 125 Judge Rodolfo Azucena Jr convicted Police Officer 3 A.O., Police Officer 1 J.P., and Police Officer 1 J.C., and sentenced them to reclusion perpetua, or imprisonment for 20 to 40 years, without eligibility for parole.

"The court commiserates with our policemen who regularly thrust their lives in zones of danger in order to maintain peace and order and acknowledges the apprehension faced by their families whenever they go on duty," said Azucena in his 35-page decision.

"But the use of unnecessary force or wanton violence is not justified when the fulfillment of their duty as law enforcers can be effected otherwise. A shoot first, think later attitude can never be countenanced in a civilized society," he added.

The 3 were also ordered to pay D.S.'s family P100,000 in civil indemnity, P100,000 in moral damages, P45,000 in actual damages, and P100,000 in exemplary damages.

But the cops were found not guilty of planting firearms and drugs for failure of the prosecution to prove this.

The moment the court handed out the verdict on Thursday, a cry came out from the defense side, from one of the girlfriends of the cops. C. was also seen crying.

The 3 were immediately whisked away by their police escorts, but no one wanted to make a statement. The police did not say where they would be taken.

UPDATE: The remains of K.D.S. were exhumed on August 15, 2022 for re-autopsy as the lease on his gravesite expires. In public cemeteries, the lease usually lasts for five years only. If the family fails to renew the lease, the remains of their loved ones are transferred to a mass grave. After reexamination, his remains will be transferred to another gravesite in the same cemetery.

His uncle said the victim became the "face" of abuse of power by police.

I agree, "What can they do?" It's not as if they can decide to just not cause harm. As we have all known for decades, without exception, all Asians are simply unable to decide to re-holster a firearm once drawn. It's basic genetics. The very moment you place a loaded pistol into any Asian person's hand something/everything absolutely must be fired upon. Wether it's a mound of street cabbages, or their own reflection in a public restroom or favourite softdrink; nature always takes hold.

A 17-year-old Grade 11 student was a resident of Brgy. 160, Caloocan City, Metro Manila, Philippines, who wanted to become a police officer. However on August 16, 2017, he was arrested by police officers wearing civilian clothes due to "drug dealing". He was then dragged, tortured, and shot two or three times (autopsy results differ between PNP Crime Lab and Public Attorney's Office, respectively) in the head that resulted in his instant death. His death became a national issue regarding war on drugs. He was laid to rest on August 26, 2017 at La Loma Cemetery in the same city.

Take note that this set is incomplete. I cannot find some more uncensored photos regarding this case.
