Violence erupts in Caruaru, this time a 17 years old girl was shot to death. It's the hundredth Victim of an homicide this year in Caruaru.
What a sad waste of a life, in addition it seems that she wasn't the target.

It happened at around 11:00 pm on Wednesday (07): the victim, Hortência Alves da Silva, 17, lived in Rua Capt. João Vieira - Salgado. She was drinking along with some of her friends in a bar in Rua João Amaro da Silva, when an unidentified man approached her and shot four times, hitting the young woman with a shot to the forehead, while she was heldin the child of a friend who was present at the scene: a passer-by was shot in the arm, and police believe he was the real target, but all he said was that the killer arrived by feet wearing a helmet and started shooting. According tothe relatives of the victim, she had no involvement with drugs. This was the ninth homicide in just seven days of September and the authorities are concerned about the escalation of violence in Caruaru.

My bad, i didn't put a caption to that pic.
It's not relevant the rock but what lies close to it: a flattened bullet (most likely a 38 cal.) which was found on the scene.


I guess the rock is tied to the pipe for some reason that has nothing to do with the story.

That's as close an explanation that can be made from what we see. Sounds like there was 4 shots and just one caught in the forehead of the girl and one in the arm of the man. It is for sure sad.
