Re: 13 Gang Members Killed in Philippine Shootout

Wow, the Phils are getting rough!
actually, those are late reactions (crimes have been succeeding here in the Philippines for years and years) and most probably just a lucky streak at their attempt of showing off... they don't last long. Take an order like a campaign for driving without helmet. They only enforce them for the whole duration of the day's order. say establishing a checkpoint for that order and operating for say 8am till 12 noon. then after that time, they see you without any helmet, they wont even bother to flag you down. order said 12 noon and its past 12 noon so why bother? and mostly they're the ones who rides along the road on big bikes without helmet on. the law makers.... pfah!!!

they just do enforcing like that on the first days of the order then forget about it later.. it is called "ningas-kugon" attitude... or roughly translated in english, it is likened to a fire(ningas) made from hay (kugon or cogon) grass.... it burns very hot and brightly intense but only for a very very short time.

Re: 13 Gang Members Killed in Philippine Shootout

by the way... don't expect chase videos if its from the Philippines. We don't have chase cams or dashboard cams or whatever you call it on our police or military vehicles. even on choppers. You will only see mostly the aftermaths and the fabricated stories they tell to make people think those incidents are planned successfully. they are mostly just lucky streaks. never known them to be consistent about anything that required heavy efforts...

Re: 13 Gang Members Killed in Philippine Shootout

well, we have some developments in some places in the Philippines' bigger cities... they have installed street cams... although spaced too far apart from each other, they're still some help. only problem is the contractors who installed then used china made devices. saw some shots from those street cams and a zoomed still of a hand holding something shows a blurred sgroup of squares.

Re: 13 Gang Members Killed in Philippine Shootout

i have some relatives in the force. i'm not naming them. you should know something. catching crooks and killing them all is one way for them (Police/Military) to get rid of their personal loose firearms that have hurt or killed someone. planting them to a dead person puts the blame on that person and closed the case since he's dead... just so you know... if you're a filipino, you know how that goes. they catch a fly they will say it was a dragon... that's why most filipino are dying just to become even slaves in some other countries.

Yeah I do know, I'm half Filipino and have relatives in law enforcement.

The M4 carbine in the picture looks like police issue.
