11 Philippine Soldiers Killed in Abu Sayyaf Ambush, Patikul, Sulu, April 2020
At Sitio Bud Lubong in Barangay Danag, Patikul, Sulu, 11 Philippine Army soldiers from the 21st Infantry Battalion were killed and 14 wounded during an hour-long clash with around 40 Abu Sayyaf fighters on April 17, 2020. A wounded soldier later died, raising the death toll to 12. The troops encountered the fighters at about 3 p.m. while pursuing Abu Sayyaf leaders Radullan Sahiron and Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan. The military said militants used blades to brutally finish off three fallen soldiers and tried to behead the platoon leader. nice post. this guys do not look like they were killed in battle, looks like some might have been executed. I wonder what the story here is
