Re: 10 Things We Might Do When We Die (Extensive text + Images)
Post mortem stain cannot stain anyone touching the un embalmed body. PM Stain is when the red blood cells begin to break down and separate the basic components. Haem from the haematin separates and is so small can pass through capillary walls into the skins tissues. Because PM Stain is no longer in the arterial or veinous pathways it cannot be removed by embalming.Only way to mask this condition is to hypo phenol which has a bleaching effect directly into the affected areas. External cosmetic applications will finalize a natural result. Every dead body has a raised temperature for a moment of time before cooling to the same temperature as its enviroment. This is because the blood runs through the capillaries in the skin. The capillaries are the bodies radiator similar to a cars radiator. The air upon the skin cools or heats up the blood in the capillaries. When the heart stops the blood cannot travel around and through the capillaries so cannot be cooled by natural occurences. The enzymic action of the cells due to lack of oxygen (Autolysis) creates heat so this is why the body temp elevates. This is a temporary condition and usually passes in an hour or so depending upon other factors. Imagine the water pump failing on you car . The water cannot travel through the radiator and be cooled by air passing around it so your engine gets hotter. The human body is am amazing machine..
