Woman slapped in the face by Columbus cop during arrest
June 3 2008 COLUMBUS, Ohio Police on Tuesday responded to a video that appears to show an officer slapping a woman in the face. The clip posted on Theliberalblogger.com/forum, by Kellyhound, showed officers placing a woman under arrest. About halfway through the video, officers worked to subdue the handcuffed woman at the back of a police cruiser. She appeared to be struggling against the officers when one of them slapped her in the side of the face. According to police, the woman was taken into custody after she threatened to kill herself. When asked about the video, police said the officer involved reported the incident to his supervisors. The officer said the woman appeared to be under the influence of drugs and became very combative, kicking and grabbing him. "The fact of the matter is that just because someone is handcuffed doesn't mean they can't kick or strike or use some type of force against an officer," said Columbus police Sgt. Rich Weiner. The officer does not face any disciplinary action but Weiner said the video would be reviewed by police. |

haha I would like to ask the police department where in the use of force matrix it shows slapping someone in the face as an approved method of force.
