ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. Aug. 18 2008-- A Dollar General Store manager wrestled a rifle away from two robbers. Police said the masked men entered the store and ordered the manager on the ground at the store on Oakridge Road.

That's when the manager jumped up and fought off the crooks. He got the rifle away from them and even pulled the mask off one of the men before they ran out of the store.

"It was very dangerous for him to take action on his own, to grab the end of the weapon and start firing. This rifle was pointed at him it could have gone off and shot him," said Commander Spike Hopkins of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The store manager even pulled the mask off one of the men before they ran out and took off on bicycles. Investigators searched the area from the air and with police dogs but were not able to track the men.
