Re: Martin Luther King Death & Crime Scene Photos ( VERY RARE )

Out of pure boredom I figured I might as well add a couple more photos to this post.

PHOTO 1: Is actually not a photo at all but a drawing that depicts to some extent where the bullet hit and some of the damage it caused.

PHOTO 2: Shows the bullet that claimed King's life. It was recovered from just beneath the skin of King's left shoulder which was resting right next to the shoulder blade.

PHOTOS 3 & 4: Both show Martin Luther King In His Casket.

PHOTO 5: Also shows King in his casket but in this photo the entrance wound patch work done by the funeral people is clearly visible.

I included this little bit of info which details King's injuries comes word for word straight from the first page of Martin Luther King's autopsy report. ( Which I included a link to below. )

ANATOMICAL DIAGNOSIS: Gunshot wound to body and face with:
Fracture of mandible
Laceration vertebral artery, jugular vein and subclavian artery, right,
Laceration of spinal cord ( lower cervical, upper thoracic ),
Intrapulmonary hematoma, apex, right upper lobe

NARRATIVE OF FINDINGS: Death was the result of a gunshot wound to the chin and neck with a total transection of the lower cervical and upper thoracic spinal cord and other structures in the neck. The direction of the wounding was from front to back, above downward and from right to left. The severing of the spinal cord at this level and to this extent was a wound that was fatal very shortly after its occurrence.

Re: Martin Luther King Death & Crime Scene Photos ( VERY RARE )

I had read in another of my myriad books on criminals/serial killers/assassinations that the bullet that killed him ripped through his tie and severed his spinal cord.....

I have also read and even heard in documentary films many times that King's tie was completely severed. And you're apparently questioning how could he be struck in the jaw in a downward direction and still have a severed tie. Well you have to remember that King was shot with a 30-06 caliber rifle, which is a caliber that I have personally shot before and I can say that I totally believe that his tie was severed. A 30-06 round carries a massive amount of energy behind it and it is entirely possible so I don't doubt that.

And as far as the severed spinal cord, there is absolutely no doubt that indeed his spinal cord was entirely severed and it is thoroughly documented in the Autopsy Report.

AND HERE IS ANOTHER PHOTO: This one shows the actual gun that was used to murder Martin Luther King.

Re: Martin Luther King Death & Crime Scene Photos ( VERY RARE )

Is it just me, or does it not look like pic # 2 is staged a bit? If a shot rang out wouldn't the people down below be scattering or looking in the same direction? Also it looks to me as if the guy closest to us on the balcony has a smile on his face...... What's up with that?
