The fact that it "bothers you", quite frankly bothers me. Let the poor woman find solace in whatever form it comes to her.

As I've said I can't assume that I, as an agnostic, would believe that gods will took my son in such a negligent manner but if I ever find myself in that sad place, DAMN ANYONE for finding me foolish for seeking comfort in any shape or form, be it the EASTER BUNNY or a CHIA PET.

She has lost her child and you're concern is not that she finds peace? Your concern is in what she said within hours of finding out her baby had died? What a bunch of insensitive people you are... You all may as well find work at a daycare where they don't care enough to do a head count, seems you're of the right mentality; selfish and uncaring.

Yes, as I thought. That sounds just like something the daycare staff will be saying right about now to the family. You're a real class act ...or perhaps I'm being sarcastic

True, whatever brings her peace, she should be allowed to believe. However, since it's public, others get to comment on it and dissent.

Precisely, thank you. It's what we are all doing, some just lack a vocabulary that includes more than "fuck" to express themselves.

I find it quite sad that more seem focused on the mothers choice of grieving method than the careless people who were responsible for the child's life being lost.

I think that may be - in my case anyway - because her "blaming" God makes it looks like she is actually making excuses or being defensive of what happened. After all, when you're religious, there is no will purer and no word more sacred than God's, which kind of implies that all He willed to happen, is okay in some way and needs no further debate/struggle/investigation.
Of course, when said in grief, such defense of God's will has the same validity as "Ima kill that jerk" said in anger, so I guess it's okay. But we've only read it in print here, so we don't get the actual emotions it is said with, and then it kind of does (initially) sound like "Oh well, if God says so" to some people, including me.
