Charles Manson, 74 Years Old
Wild-eyed mass murderer Charles Manson is now an elderly inmate with gaunt cheeks, white hair and a dead stare. His crude, self-carved swastika has faded through the decades to a faint blue. The once-frizzy mop top is bald in front and buzzed in back. The famous creepy smirk is shrouded in silver whiskers. The photo of the 74-year-old cult leader was taken Wednesday at Corcoran State Prison in California. Manson is serving a life sentence for ordering the murders of actress Sharon Tate - the pregnant wife of movie director Roman Polanski - and six others in August 1969. Manson was first sentenced to death along with four members of his cult, but their sentences were commuted to life when the death penalty was briefly outlawed in 1972. They've all been denied parole multiple times.  · |
