I don't know, it just doesn't look natural. It looks like special effects. Plus I've never seen a person shoot themselves with a hand gun and drop it right after shooting it. It usually stays in the hand due to the natural reaction of the muscles tightening when hit or shot in the head.

If this was real and from an interrogation room, then why did he have a gun? I'm no cop but I believe you're searched when arrested.

33 year old man commits suicide after being convicted of rape in Boston. The man was brought in to be questioned when , after being searched by the police, retrieves a gun from his left shoe: near his inside ankle bone. The holster found on his ankle was made for a .32 calibur special police edition revolver. The gun used for his self-execution was a .32 calibur revolver extended barrel. The man was found only 3 minutes later by the questioning officer.
