He was badass. I'll agree... What got me though? The Phone...People and their god damned cell phones..missing half your face? better make sure you got your cell phone..facebook..angrybirds..Can't live or die without em.. Or in his case? halffacebook  And I'm sure rolling in the dirt didn't help either..but the hell? like I would hold still and chill with half my mug ripped off my head..? Staring at the phone and seeing his reflection had to be the most horrific moment of his life.. |

I believe this is in Jamaica and he didn't drive himself, that was the passenger side of a taxi he got in. They drive on the wrong side (left, right is right) of the road there. Still good to have the smarts to get to the hospital ASAP, forget waiting for an ambulance. Too bad he lost his bike though. He will probably see it pass the taxi before he gets to the hospital.

Thankfully, he was probably in complete shock at that moment. But afterwards, when the adrenaline's worn off and the realization of the permanency of his injury settles in...  |

One split-second accident and this mans life has been changed for ever. For people recuperating from these kinds of injuries, physical pain is the least of their worries. Losing half your face must be like losing half your identity- every social interaction you have is going to be altered, and you know he's gonna get stares, deal with questions and gossip for the rest of his days I hope this guy has the wherewithal to keep living life, rather than hole up in self pity after his injuries heal... |
