Guy Commits Suicide by Doing a Swan Dive Off 5 Floor As People Watch

A 25 year-old man commits suicide by jumping down from the fourth floor of the Cable Plaza shopping mall in Manizales, Colombia.

The man, identified as Cristian Camilo Gomez, came out of a casino and was talking on his cell-phone when he jumped from the 4th floor as a dive into a pool.

The incident took place at 3:30 in the afternoon when the mall had a lot of people because it was a Sunday on a holiday weekend.

According to information from the Police, the victim was unemployed and his girlfriend announced that day that she would end their relationship.

He tried to fix the relationship but she went to authorities to remove her belongings from where they lived.

Then the man called her on his his cell-phone and allegedly agreed to an appointment at the mall, where the outcome was fatal.

The manager of the Cable Plaza shopping center, Lina Clemencia Rivas, handed over the video of the day when the suicide happened to the authorities for them to complete investigations.

Rivas said she does not know how this material changed hands and ended up circulating on the Internet five days later.

The manager hereby warned that if published, she would undertake legal action against them, also because, according to her, the boy's family is very hurt and does not understand the reasons why he has taken the decision to take his own life that way.
