I'm told that during the Korean War, the Americans would make a big deal about letting the North Koreans see them count to three before throwing a grenade with a longer fuse. Then they'd take some, cut the fuses down and throw them without pulling the pins. The North Koreans would think "stupid Americans", pick one up, pull the pin and start to count to th(boom).

that is a very very ingenious tactic
