First, I want to make it known that I am an atheist and I have a pro-choice stance. That said, this thread disgusts me. 1st, you don't even know whether she did it for religious reasons or not, and 2nd, whether or not it was over religious reasons, she just lost a kid!! Have you and every else on this thread lost your humanity? Mocking it with a picture of Mr. Hanky? Seriously, grow up. I'm sure you wouldn't be the sanest things if you lost a kid either. Just to show you that anyone can have idiosyncrasies or a strong depression for the loss of a kid...President Lincoln, an atheist, exhumed his son Willie 3 times. You don't need to tease people when they have just undergone a tragedy.

If any of you ever worked around a labor and delivery unit you'd understand this behavior. This is shocking to most people to have to see, but it's a normal part of the grieving process when you lose a child. In the old days a staff member would whisk the dead child away without the mother ever seeing or touching it, which only managed to leave some deep seated emotional scars on the mothers.

This woman didn't "keep" her dead child. She was probably allowed to spend all the time she needed with it, and it was very likely given a funeral just like any other person.

I still think the hat in the last pic is both the sickest, and the funniest thing ever at the same time. But it would look more normal if it was after 7 months or so. They have the baby in their arms, yes, but i don't think they make little hats for the dead fetuses ... look at the size, they clearly made it for this featus, it would not fit a normal size baby. so yeah, she is still sick in a way, imo.

I actually saw this on t.v.. The lady had been trying to have kids for FOREVER and finally got pregnant and it died. So she held it and let the nieces and nephews hold it and that was all. She actually has a site. It is sad :/
