Re: Keep Pulling!
ya, I think that is close. ...i am no authority, but to me it looks like the surgeon's intention is to "repurpose" this this "long body part" (idk what it is) while keeping its valuable blood supply intact at the groin. --> It seems to me that the surgeon has detatched its lower end of this "conduit" from where it was anchored below the knee and then tunneled it upward (through the thigh) and out of the groin. Since access to it was gained via incisions at the knee and thigh and groin, it was "shimmied" (or tunneled) upward through the thigh from INSIDE the leg. (You can see the bruising that marks its original position arising along the leg.) --> I imagine s/he intends to use this item (with its blood supply) to support another surgical effort, perhaps a reconstruction or transplant effort further up in the body. I was made aware of this "shimmy from inside"-with-blood-supply-intact technique as it was used to create a bilateral breast reconstruction in a close relative. In her case, excess tummy (from below umbilicus) created a "flap" that was shimmied upward (tunneled) through the abdomen, from inside the torso. This is done to maintain the blood supply so the flap can exit at the chest and be reshaped there into a bosum. A few more artistic touches and tatoos of plastic surgeons created her v realistic nipple bits. It was really rather startling when this woman's figure was remarkably transformed, suddenly emerging to reveal a lovely 38C bust loftily carried above a tidy, flat tummy!. --ic |
