It's a Sky Burial Tower. It's a roofless, round building with a pit. Some have seperate tables for each body. Some like this one have a raised floor. This building serves to dispose of bodies by feeding them to vultures and other flying predators. When there isn't much left of the body, it is swept into the pit. When it's full enough they empty the pit and grind the bones to a powder and add it to other bodies or fresh meat and fed to the same birds, leaving nothing of the bodies behind.

This is just one form of Sky Burial.

Fuck, beat me to it. Awesome pic though. There is something about sky burials... I don't know what it is, they just make a lot of sense to me.
