my point is that in addition to being a cop. he's also a person. a fellow citizen. and when you fuck with people, there's a chance that they are going to fuck with you back.. cop or not. they arent the only ones....we all are held to that standard. i worked in a deli at a grocery store and had a bitch throw hot food at me... would it have been ok for me to clock her in the face just because i couldnt hold my anger?  no... i would have been arrested and people would have said 'what a cock.'  if a woman poured water on you, would you feel justified in punching her in the face now, add the fact that they are given guns and are getting paid to NOT loose there shit in these situations. the cops took the job knowing they would have to deal with worse shit than silly string or water... they knew they would have to stay calm in these situations. he didnt....he fucked up. clear and simple.... you cant just hit people because they got you wet. that's assault. he could have just arrested her.... he had no reason to fuckin punch her in the face. that's bullshit. if he was mad and felt he was in danger, he has a tazer. |

for the record, my father in law is a retired cop as well as a former S.W.A.T. sniper and was shot while on duty. the cops actions in the vid were still out of line. |

I agree. he fucked up. he is probably a shitty cop and should be charged with assault and punished appropriately. I'm not defending him. but I am condemning her. She is an idiot who fucked with a cop. the cop over-reacted.. Surprise! I would not feel justified punching her in the face but we live in world filled with "cocks" and people do unjustified shit all the time. it's not right. but it is the world we live in. If she doesn't know that... them she's an idiot. If she does know that and fucked with him anyway... she's an idiot. In summary: He is an asshole and a criminal. there's no doubt that she's an idiot. she should have been arrested for assaulting an officer.... but, in my opinion, his actions were far worse than hers. they were both idiots... he was just an idiot on the job, is what upsets me. |

one last point. I would grant that his actions were more severe than hers (and the punishment should reflect that), but not necessarily worse. In situations like this i tend to think that the unprovoked action is the worse offense regardless of the severity... within limits of course.

True. Cops should be held to at least the same standard we are, probably even a lot higher...... Pisses me off when I see Cops breaking the law or doing stuff that me or you would be arrested for. |
