Re: Alaskan State Trooper Doesn't Like It when He's Being Taped
What they did wrong was passing a police officer. Pigs don't like that. I did it once cause the oinker was driving way below the speed limit and told me I can't pass cops and let me go without a ticket.

Re: Alaskan State Trooper Doesn't Like It when He's Being Taped
The PO could easily have stated under section blah blah code blahzi blah blah blah, states passengers in vehicles are not allowed to take videos while in a moving vehicle on the highway and furthermore under code section blah blee blah bliza, it is prohibited for a passanger to record a violation stop with a short overcompensating ego maniac po. Thats why there is no respect for cops especially when they are this way for no reason. |

Re: Alaskan State Trooper Doesn't Like It when He's Being Taped
it doesnt matter if the drivers were looking for trouble or not, the officer has the duty to remain professional at all times and follow the law himself. In my opinion, the drivers were doing a valuable public service by exposing police who think they are above the law. I hope the prick got fired.

You should have seen 'em when I had scanner in my car. I worked in media. "What is THAT for!" Gun drawn. Me: "Listening to public frequencies my taxes pay for, why." This, mind, you, with press credentials. Not like in the movies, is it. Shortly thrown to the ground, in my state totally legal. Like I said, bad cops, good cops.. the latter in small supply.

Re: Alaskan State Trooper Doesn't Like It when He's Being Taped
Its illegal here to film someone without consent. The officer was correct..But he had no right to try and take the phone. The courts would have done so for him.The only clearance for using a camera as these two did in the State of Alaska is given to law enforcement and the licensed media. To film an officer without written consent from their dept is considered harassment in the State of Alaska..Fact..Most likely the phone was either taken into evidence and the one who was mouthy went to jail.Anyone who has lived in Alaska knows our officers are pretty decent..Doesn't mean you can push them around though.. |

That was awesome. Shoulda told piggy he would be on the 5 o'clock news and that they hoped he had enjoyed his little power trip while it lasted. Pigs like this should be tased with their own taser, have their own baton shoved up their ass and shot in the face with their own gun.
