I remember when this broke. This just crossed that line that pissed of alot of people. I never heard about it again since they said some charges were going to be laid against the officer.

Again...come on guys. Warning shots really...cops don't fire warning shots anywhere that I'm aware of. Why can't they just shoot him in the arms or legs...yeah, try that under stress and when the bad guy's moving around...no one trains to do that, it's upperly ridiculous. Why did they shoot so many times...who cares how many times they shoot? They shoot until the threat(s) stop being a threat(s). I don't know why the cop in this case shot that idiot...who cares? Let's not look at the fact that he was brandishing a deadly weapon at police and God knows what transpired prior to officers arrivedcon scene. I'm assuming that there were passengers and a driver on board when the idiot pulled the knife. Maybe this wasn't a good shoot...it's a bit presumptuous to base our very narrow and uneducated opinions on another crappy video tape. The agency's internal affairs, the local Canadian District Attorney office, and probably the state watchdogs all will investigate the case. Of course this idiot's family will also sue and their attorneys will get their chop at the case. Why must everyone always insert their own preconceived ideas and judgement on what happens in these videos? Wa wa wa...it's always the evvvviiile police illegally shooting somebody...bla bla bla. Ok, if everyone seems to believe that the cops are trigger happy, then why in the Hell do idiots like this keep challenging and daring the police? Wouldn't you think that you'd get shot? Look this fool broke the cardinal rule, "never bring a knife to a gunfight".

And by the way..."I hate cops...", who says shit like that? Hate is a fairly serious word. I'm not sure I actually hate anyone and I've lived a lot longer that most on this site. How in God's name can you hate an entire profession? Isn't that a rather uneducated and immature statement as well as being insanely over reaching? What is wrong with some of you folks, I mean I'm sure this discontent is based on prior negative contacts with law enforcement and some is politically motivated, but to say one hates and entire race, class, profession is a gross overstatement and horribly simplifing a very complex idea. Perhaps you're using hate too casually? What kind of a monster says that their happy when police officers die? How is that ok? I actually saw that statement on another post. What rational thinking adult makes comments like that and how does that help one's argument? Sometimes I read the crap posted here and it really makes me sad for the future...so many with so little real knowledge, compassion, and life experience. It's just sad.

Not trying to troll you, but honestly offering some constructive criticism, but the relentless posts instructing all of us on police work has been on an overkill vibe since the beginning.

And the juxtaposition of your other posts, are usually moderately to considerably tasteless jokes, which is common here (by us uneducated sad people) but strangely your callous comments disproportionately occur on threads featuring teens, who have died tragically.

Its odd, and retired or not, unbecoming to someone who wore a badge to protect people.

Yeah...God forbid that someone actually go against your obvious agenda and state facts on an issue instead of whining about the police. I've dealt with snot noses like you my whole career and I've yet to take physical action against anyone for what comes out of their mouth. You seem to have picked me over and over again for your special attention and criticism. Did I miss something? Did someone appoint you as abitor of appropriateness and truth on this site? Heaven forbid that someone with actual experience try to educate or at least inform others about something on this site so that they may look at things from another perspective.
