Fucking hell that was invasive. Seems likely that she had some sort of lesion or growth that needed to be removed.

Fucking hell, that was rough. I can't imagine she was alive with no airway support whatsoever. I can't imagine a need to disassemble her face like that either though. Maybe cadaver training like quartermain said. If I had to have some such surgery I wouldn't want it to be the surgeon's first go.
