Musician, singer, and songwriter, Chris Cornell. Cornell, born John Boyle, was the lead vocalist for the bands, Soundgarden and Audioslave. Cornell was a talented and well seasoned musician selling over 14.8 albums. He was nominated 14 times for the Grammy Awards, while winning twice. Early in the morning on May 18, 2017, Cornell was found dead by his bodyguard in the bathroom of his hotel room at the MGM Grand, in Detroit, Michigan. Cornell was found lying on the floor with an exercise band around his neck. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. Cornell was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m. on May 18, 2017. Cornell's autopsy report revealed that his cause of death was "suicide by hanging." His toxicology report revealed the singer had butabital, lorazepam, caffeine, pseudoephedrine, and its metabolite in his system. Hotel footage help assist the police in ruling out homicide. Cornell is buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.

According to the "Autopsy Show" with Dr. Michael Hunter, Chris had just completed a concert and he was relaxing in his hotel room when his wife called him and blamed him for "shutting the lights off"???? at their home. He didn't have a clue what the hell she was bitching about and subsequently hung himself after.

It seems like it's always a nice guy like that always marries some unappreciative bitch that slowly kills him. He will either drink or

For what it’s worth, Alprazolam (Xanax™) is far worse and no matter which benzodiazepine you want to discontinue, the dose MUST be lowered gradually over several days or even weeks, depending on the strength you used and the amount of time you’ve been using it. People die from quitting benzos “cold turkey.”

I still lean more him dying of autoerotic asphyxiation. The way he was butt ass naked and hanging with bungie cords doesn't sound like a straight out suicide to me.

Sure, I could be wrong but this has never sat right with me being a suicide.
