Re: Chillin in My Coffin
At least half of the rednecks who die in the state of Michigan are buried in either a football jersey or a real tree camo hunting shirt. That is no shit. do you all know what the last words of most red necks are "Hey everybody watch this.". At which point they perform some form of ill advised action wrapped in a bad life choice which leads to their death and the deepening of the gene pool for the rest of us. Thank God Darwin's law works. |

Re: Chillin in My Coffin
You are absolutely right Sharon. Most times the burial clothes are picked out by the familly and they are ment to be a form of comfort for the familly. However sometimes this back fires and this is where the skill of a good and caring funeral director comes in to play. Let me give you an example from my own family. My grand mother died of a heart attack. In the process of trying to recesitate her in the E.R. they had cracked her chest in order to try and save her but thier best efforts failed and she passed. My father and his brothers all agreed that my Grand Mother should be buried in a very nice low cut formal gown she owned. Now my Father and uncles are not medical people and I am sure the did not think about the fact that my grand mothers chest had been cracked and that this would show in the gown they had picked for her to be buried in. Thankfuly the Funeral director and his staff did . My Grand Mother was buried in the gown her son's had picked out with only one slight change made. A very nice decrotive piece of cloth had been placed in the front of the gown and all was well. It is stuff like that which good funeral directors know how to handle quitely, tactfully, and profesionally that make them good. |

Re: Chillin in My Coffin
For DR pics yes. I myself have already contacted a photographer to take pics of me when I croak which will be sent to DR for all of you my friends. Lets just call that my final post shall we. Oh and Viking no worries my friend I am having some very specail shots taken for you my sick little friend. Now all kidding aside I do not know if I want an open casket viewing for my familly and friends. I hate the fact that many times the way you are remebered after death by friends and familly is how you looked in that box . I would much rather not have a viewing or have a closed casket with just a photo of myself on it so people remeber me as I was in life not in death. |
