In all seriousness that was terrible on their part. I've never seen that happen before. |

Re: Carrying a Coffin Outside a Building Goes Wrong
Looks like dumbass on the broad side was trying to lift it by the lip of the lid instead of using handles or lifting it from the bottom. My paternal grandmother was interred in a family mausoleum plot. The slot for her coffin was 3 up, so it had to be lifted overhead -- and it was a *heavy* coffin (I was one of the pallbearers). One of the staff had a little difficulty getting his corner up into the slot at first and there was a bit of a collective lurch before they got it right. The coffin had only tilted momentarily, but I could practically *hear* my Pop's adrenaline spike when it happened. I wasn't so much worried about my other family members being traumatized or my grandmother's body being dropped, but I'm fairly certain that Pop would have tried to kill at least one of those guys if they had fucked it up all the way. |

The idiots who did it should have acted like they meant to drop him. Never say “oops”. Say “there!” |
