Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
The Facebook post by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has brought the SAMP/T Mamba missile system back into the spotlight. Slovakia has indeed lost its air defense after receiving an announcement from Rome that the Italians wanted back the system installed last year near Malacky to the northwest of Bratislava. The SAMP/T Mamba missile system, also known as the Ground-Based Medium Range Air Defense System (SAMP/T), is a new generation air defense system jointly developed by Italy and France. Designed to intercept and destroy a wide range of aerial threats, including aircraft, cruise missiles, and tactical ballistic missiles, the SAMP/T represents a crucial component of both countries' air defense capabilities. The proposal that is causing debate: "An Iron Dome is needed to defend Berlin from Russian missiles." The operational capabilities at the heart of the SAMP/T system is the Aster 30 missile, capable of intercepting targets at distances greater than 100 kilometers and at altitudes ranging from 50 meters to 20 kilometers. Its versatility allows it to cover a wide operational area, protecting strategic sites and military formations from advanced aerial threats. The system can track and engage multiple targets simultaneously, offering robust defense against saturated air attacks. Components of the defense system The SAMP/T consists of several key elements, including the vertical launcher, the Arabel multifunction radar, the command and control center, and the Aster 30 missile itself. These components work in synergy to detect, track, and neutralize aerial threats. The system's mobility allows for rapid deployment in various operational theaters, increasing the armed forces' flexibility. International collaboration The SAMP/T system is the result of intense collaboration between Italy and France, who have shared costs and technical expertise to develop it. Beyond its use by these two countries, the system has attracted the interest of other nations for its advanced air defense capabilities and its interoperability with other NATO systems. The participation of more countries in the project highlights the strategic value of the SAMP/T in the context of European defense. And it is for this reason that Slovakia wanted to underline its importance. Slovakia is losing the SAMP/T Mamba air defense system provided by Italy that had been installed in Malacky, near Bratislava, to replace the Russian S-300 system sent to Ukraine at the start of the conflict. Italy has decided to withdraw the air defense system, stating the need to employ it elsewhere which probably means Ukraine. |

In the occupied Feodosia in eastern Crimea, an oil refinery belonging to Russian occupiers was reportedly partially destroyed, according to the partisan movement Ateşh. Agents of Ateşh from the occupying authorities mention that there was a "landing" during the night of March 3. According to the partisans, an oil refinery in Feodosia, used by the occupiers, was hit. "The consequences were cleared until the early morning. The losses are significant," the message states. Explosions occurred in the occupied Feodosia last night. It was reported online that there was allegedly a drone attack, so the anti-aircraft defense was activated. Moreover, some Telegram channels wrote that the explosions occurred near the oil base. Allegedly, fire trucks and ambulances were dispatched there. Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported a "repelled attack" in Crimea. Shoigu claimed that they allegedly shot down as many as 38 drones. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
Yes. When you get all the cobwebs sorted out with a new system, drones in this case, you can start to fine tune them with regards to adaptions of bits n pieces to either help or neutralize any threats, but the main point being that they are a relatively small, inexpensive, unmanned, airborne deployable system that you can adapt to any configuration necessary to deliver payloads for whatever reason utilizing the remote control toggle switch system. In closing I must say that we are actually witnessing a new age, the age of the Drone & it can't be more apparent than in this particular theater as this is the most visually documented war in history. Also, things tend to have a flow on effect, like what's the next big thing after drones, the T100 TERMINATOR ROBOT, be first invented to retrieve the wounded until some bright spark weaponizes them. Maybe, Maybe Not, but we are sure good at inventing things to kill each other with. |

Sea Baby SBU maritime drones. "The new SeaBaby 2024 has improved technical characteristics, greater combat and maneuverability. It is capable of delivering almost a ton of explosives over a thousand kilometers. The SBU conceived this drone as a universal platform on which various weapons will be placed," - "Hunter" brigadier general of the SBU. With the help of black fish, the SBU blew up the Crimean Bridge and neutralized 11 Russian warships. |
