Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
NO MEDIA: "On Monday, the United States announced (https://www.defense.gov/News/Release...e-for-ukraine/) another package of military aid to Ukraine. The $100 million package includes artillery shells, anti-aircraft defenses and anti-tank missiles, as well as cold-weather gear. ❗️ Interestingly, the package includes one highly mobile HIMARS artillery missile system. Forbes suggests (https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidax...h=5a52c1067e3b) that this is not the HIMARS we are all used to (because it seems somehow illogical to help with one installation, when Ukraine already has 38 HIMARS plus 23 similar tracked launchers based on the M270). It is possible that the Americans provide a modified launcher for firing the new long-range GLSDB (https://t.me/in_factum/9233) ammunition, which can hit targets at a distance of 150+ km. Joe Biden's administration promised to provide the GLSDB as early as February, but stressed that it would take months for the newly developed missiles to be delivered to the front lines. In early October, Boeing CEO Jim Leary said the company was "on track to deliver" the planing munitions "on the government's schedule." If so, then Russian troops in a larger territory of Ukraine are in greater danger. Even those "hiding" behind hills or buildings (the rocket knows how to maneuver well). GLSDB, should be widely compatible with HIMARS and M270 launchers. But it is possible that the launchers require small changes in hardware or software. This is the best argument in favor of the unverified assumption that one additional HIMARS launcher in the latest US aid package is related to the delivery of the GLSDB." ==== "According to the representative of the German company Quantum-Systems, the training of Ukrainian personnel on Trinity drones is planned for January 2024. 100 Trinity drones will primarily be used in Ukraine to assess combat damage. It is about accurate mapping of damage, for example, infrastructure, buildings, roads, bridges, etc."

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
Russia recently attended a military show in Dubai where they complained that the reason that they got no orders for equipment was because they weren't put in the main pavilion to showcase their goods. ![]() NEWSWEEK. U.S. arms makers dominated last week's Dubai Airshow, as Russia failed to report a single sale, with one executive claiming the country had been sidelined from the exhibition's main pavilion. The biennial air show, which is the largest aerospace exhibition in the Middle East, was held between November 13 and 17, and gathered the leading manufacturers of civil and military aircraft. Russian firms including Rostec, United Aircraft Corp and Almaz-Anty, participated. Russia's standing as a global arms exporter has been diminished by Russian President Vladimir Putin's ongoing war in Ukraine, but exports had been declining for a few years prior to the conflict. Data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute shows that Russia's share of global arms exports fell from 22 percent from 2013-17 to 16 percent from 2018-22. |

No matter any outcome, the roooskis still lose. Too much loss, overall, in too many areas of life. And, eventually, it will all be taken back.. eventually. |

The Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Eyal Zamir, flew to Germany for the limited signing ceremony."

"The Houthis take advantage of the fact that the ship Galaxy Leader is in their hands, and conduct wedding photos of Yemeni Houthi operatives. Every skirt in color." Comes from a very biased source. I'm not sure what is going on in this video.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
Video showing us the engineering of the M1 Abrams series main battle tank. Can't believe I'm just seeing this. Fantastic analysis of the M1's modified aircraft turbine engine, fuel system, composite armor, ammunition, sensors and optics. Ongoing upgrades to defeat modern shaped charges and the important role that an actual human loader serves on an M1 tank. Also an explanation of the bore evacuator and ballistic ammunition compartment + blowout panels to maximize crew survivability. Extensive explanation of the suspension system. Just a little background info on me, I commanded a platoon (4 tanks) of M1A1-SA main battle tanks for about 10 months, then M1A2 SEPv2's for a year and a half. |
