Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

Nah, it's quite worthless to Russians.
Most Western equipment is so old that by now, it holds very little new science that Russians, Chinese or any other country hasn't figured out themselves already. Even if Russians captured an Apache or f-35 in flying condition, they wouldn't really do much with it. Russia could probably just buy simpler things like Western rockets, light weapons, and maybe even tanks from third countries and black markets. Not in large quantities, but a few...for testing purposes. I think they already have got some humvees, tow missiles and some other IFV's from Syria and Iraq.
Just to trash it? That’s what they did with the French howitzer when they got one.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

⬛"An interesting video from United24 about the German Marder 1A3 BMP.

The video says that Germany delivered 80 such machines to Ukraine, although according to official reports, 60+ units have now arrived in Ukraine. Another 40 are to be handed over in the coming months.

At this time, the Ukrainian military is training on the Marder 1A3 on German training grounds, while the Rheinmetall concern is repairing the declared BMPs at two of its enterprises in the cities of Unterlues and Kassel.

The video shows a comparison of the German BMP with the Soviet BMP-2. Although, in my opinion, there is no point in comparing there. For example, a Ukrainian paratrooper says that while the BMP-2 fires 15-16 shots from its main gun, the Marder fires 150-200 in the same time.

Also, thanks to better optics, the "German" can detect a target faster than the "Soviet" and can inflict fire damage from it."

⬛"Report from Avdiivka for October 17, together with an interview with two aerial scouts 53rd Brigade.

They were one of the first to discover the formation of Russian armored columns on October 10, and therefore timely transmitted the information to neighboring units.

ℹ️ Here we are talking about the southern part of the Avdiivsky front (from the Vodyanyi side)"

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

EDIT: apologies, there was an emoji I left in the description which cut off most of the information.

"A fighter with the call sign "Texas" from the 2nd mech. battalion of the Presidential Brigade tells about the first days of the enemy's activation in the Avdiiv direction.

It is interesting that, according to him, the first assault attacks of the enemy began as early as September 30. That is, 10 days before it began to be published in the information space.

The second mechbat of the mentioned brigade, together with the 110th brigade, will defend the most difficult section in the Krasnohorivka area.

Also, in the interview, "Texas" mentions its positions on the hill, below which several units of Russian equipment with a landing from above passed. Presumably, we are talking about the same tericon, about which much has already been said."

"Insider Telegram Channel" claims Vladimir Putin 'suffers cardiac arrest' sparking 'alarm' in Kremlin inner circle

"Vladimir Putin is alleged to have suffered a "cardiac arrest" in his private Moscow apartment on Sunday evening.

A Telegram Channel believed to be run by a former Kremlin insider reported that incident saying the Russian leader was found by guards on the floor of the bedroom "lying on the floor, rolling his eyes."

Doctors were reportedly called immediately and they later diagnosed the 71-year-old as having suffered a "cardiac arrest."..."

Wow. That's quite a development. If it's true. We will have to keep an eye on this one for sure.

You just never know... yesterday I posted that Russian telegram channels reported that Budanov has been captured.

Balkan country, more specifically Serbia. That's their copy of the Soviet/Russian RPK, I'm sure a certain member on here appreciates the contribution to Ukraine's war efforts

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

Apart from the TG channel SVR the UK's the Mirror also made the claim.. Trying to find a 3rd...more credible source

Up until October 24, 2023, there exists no official statement from the Russian government regarding Vladimir Putin's potential heart attack, leaving the situation shrouded in uncertainty. Nonetheless, multiple media reports have surfaced, citing undisclosed sources, suggesting that Putin did indeed experience a heart attack around October 22, 2023.

Among these reports, one particular source, a Telegram channel named General SVR, purportedly operated by a former Kremlin insider, provided an intricate account. According to General SVR, Putin was discovered by his guards in his bedroom, lying supine on the floor, with his eyes rolling back. Immediate medical intervention was administered, and he was subsequently transported to a specialized intensive care unit situated within his official residence.

It is worth mentioning that General SVR has previously made similar claims concerning Putin's well-being, some of which have been debunked. Nevertheless, the channel has also proven its accuracy on certain occasions, lending some credibility to its assertions concerning Putin's heart attack, which have additionally been substantiated by other sources.

Another report originates from The Mirror, a British tabloid newspaper, relying on a source closely connected to the Kremlin. The Mirror asserts that Putin suffered a "cardiac arrest" and collapsed in his bedroom on Sunday, October 22. It further notes that medical professionals successfully revived Putin before transferring him to a specialized intensive care facility.

While The Mirror's report lacks the comprehensive details provided by General SVR, it does supply supplementary information, including the specific day of the heart attack, which occurred on a Sunday.

It is crucial to bear in mind that both these reports remain unverified, and the Russian government vehemently denies any health concerns regarding Putin. Nevertheless, the convergence of two independent sources reporting a similar heart attack raises legitimate questions about Putin's physical condition and suitability for his position.

Should Putin indeed have suffered a heart attack, the implications could be momentous for the Ukrainian conflict. As the sole decision-maker in Russia, Putin's well-being could significantly influence the trajectory of the war. Moreover, considering Putin's age of 71, a heart attack could potentially signify the presence of other severe health issues.

Only time will reveal whether Putin will experience any lasting effects from the heart attack or if it will necessitate his resignation. Nonetheless, these reports serve as a poignant reminder that Putin is not impervious to mortality and that his health may profoundly shape Russia's future
This is from the SVR channel an hour ago (6:14am)

Dear subscribers and guests of the channel!
While the unexpectedly well-coiffed double of Russian President Vladimir Putin is having a telephone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and meeting with the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Kazbek Kokov, the real Putin lies in a room equipped as an intensive care ward, in his residence, connected to equipment that monitors his vital parameters. After cardiac arrest on Sunday evening, the attending doctors assess the condition of the Russian President as stable and serious and consider the prospects without optimism. Against this background, people privy to the current situation from the president’s inner circle held consultations on Monday with representatives of several elite groups, trying to determine the possibility of consolidating into the prototype of a certain “Politburo”, led by the current Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev and control over Putin’s double , who will “temporarily” represent the president. The structure of the supposed compromise between the main elite groups looks very shaky, since everyone sees the possibilities of implementing this idea in their own way. Now, a group of representatives of the leadership of the security bloc, led by Nikolai Patrushev, is generously making promises to organize, almost like a knightly round table, where everyone will have the opportunity to strengthen their position in governing the country, and all decisions will be made on the basis of consensus. All these beautiful promises, even if they work to unite elite groups, will do so before the first big conflict, which cannot be avoided due to irreconcilable contradictions and an understanding of how the system of power should exist without Putin. It was Putin who was the center of balance of the system, and no double, of course, can replace him in this capacity. The collapse of the system without Putin is practically a foregone conclusion
