Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
**CIVILIAN WARNING** Wasn't sure where to put this. Might need a worldwide unrest mega thread soon for stuff like this. "IS militants have claimed responsibility for attacks on foreign tourists in Uganda. There was also a new attack in Katulu, Kasese district, where a local Christian was killed. The Islamist activity zone has moved 24 km deeper into western Uganda. This happened due to an attack on tourists, which resulted in the death of a citizen of Britain, South Africa and Uganda. Experts are raising concerns about terrorist attempts to re-establish a sustainable presence in western Uganda for the first time since 2007. This course of events could lead to simultaneous IS activity in both DR Congo and Uganda, and further consequences remain uncertain."

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
Half a million mines laid on the border with Belarus. Ukraine increased the density of minefields on its northern border 16 times to prevent possible advance of enemy troops from Belarus and Russia. Over 500,000 anti-tank mines have been laid in the Northern Operational Zone along the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, commander of the “North” operational and strategic grouping of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, said in an interview with Ukrinform. Since June 2022, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have installed anti-tank mines in the main directions of the possible offensive from the territory of Belarus and Russia, according to Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev. In addition, non-explosive barriers and transport infrastructure facilities (bridges, roads, etc.) have been installed along the northern border of Ukraine to stop the possible advance of troops from the territory of Belarus or Russia, Serhii Naiev said. The local authorities also work on fortifying the positions in their towns and villages. Additional fortification equipment was installed to protect critical civilian infrastructure from Russian or Belarusian attacks. The number of mobile air defense groups has also increased in the Northern Operational Zone, according to Serhii Naiev. |

- Updates regarding the increased Ukrainian presence across the river in Kherson oblast near Poima & Pishchanivka. Unconfirmed reports that UA forces made another landing further east at Krynky and are pushing south. RU forces have taken a small amount of land around Avdiivka amid catastrophic losses. - Immigrants from central Asian Republics (such as Tajikistan, Kazakhstan) who were visiting a mosque in Moscow have reportedly been herded into busses and delivered to a Russian military branch to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense. If they refuse to sign, their passport would be cancelled and they would be deported to their country of origin. - Update on the ATACMS attack on the Luhansk airfield. |
