Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
In the Shakhtarske direction, Russians conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Staromaiorske with the support of aircraft and tried to regain their lost positions near Robotyne. In general, within the responsibility area of the Tavria grouping, Russian invaders have launched 27 air strikes and 901 artillery strikes over the past day. A total of 49 combat engagements occurred. According to Shtupun, Russia’s personnel losses continue to grow. About 800 Russian occupiers have been eliminated in the Tavria direction over the past day. Additionally, Ukrainian warriors downed Russia’s Su-25 aircraft in the Donetsk region, and destroyed one BMPT Terminator armored fighting vehicle and one Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
The United Kingdom announced the transfer of stationary Terrahawk Paladin anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine. In the standard configuration, the installation is equipped with a 30-mm Mark 44 Bushmaster II cannon with a possible increase in caliber to 40 mm. The new package of the UK military support for Ukraine is worth more than £100m.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
Here's more info on that. One thing I have noted is that Russia's artillery superiority was still present in Donetsk but not Zaporizhia. Zaporizhia's rear is more targeted than Donetsk's rear. Maybe things are changing, not sure in what direction.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
Yup. If those graphics are even remotely accurate, Russia is experiencing an extremely dire logistics situation. Even aside from 122mm, 152mm and 203mm shells, and the mortars, their ability to replace destroyed artillery systems (especially the more effective self propelled ones like Msta-S, Giatsint-S) is becoming more and more questionable. It's pretty clear Russia's friends cannot fill that gap. If I was head of Russian MoD logistics I would be pulling my hair out... I can't depend on foreign friends to fill many gaps, a luxury Ukraine has much more of - they're still receiving a variety of improved Soviet and Western systems. Most wars are a marathon and not a race. |
