Either it was a shitty IED or alternatively one of those landmines designed to maim a target. Because if it was one of the proper infantry landmines where the charge jumps up after a short delay, then sprays the area with shrapnel, that guy wouldn't be screaming after the fact. Ironically a mine which merely takes your leg is more "efficient" in a battlefield, because a wounded man removes 3 people from the fight: The wounded guy and two other people dragging him away. One dead person only removes one person from the fight. |
