Snatched from Twitter this morning: "Various tripwires and improvised explosive devices left by the Russian army after retreating from #Kyiv Oblast - mostly based on a classic F-1 and RGD-5 grenades with UZRGM-2 fuzes (3.5-4 sec delay if not modded)." |

The intensity of this fight is unparalleled. Imagine.. standing in a bay window for what would seem like an eternity to line up your grenade.. and then.. moments later, shooting through the same window in the direction of the enemy. |

Re: Russian Invasion Ukraine Day 51/52 (April 16th and 17th)
Standing right in the middle of a window is a sign these troops aren't all that well-trained or this video is staged. In any urban combat you have to make yourself as small a target as possible so a properly trained soldier would be veering from the side of the window, with only gun and tiny bit of the head visible. Also preferable if you can avoid sticking your head out from obvious windows for too long, because those are obvious spots and going to draw a lot of enemy fire. Same reason why its preferable if you never shoot from top of the hill but instead from the side. |

Re: Russian Invasion Ukraine Day 51/52 (April 16th and 17th)
New York Times columnist David Hume Kennerley considers the ZUMA Press photo from Bucha to be the most powerful photo he has ever seen on this topic. “This shot of a man with his eyes open is one of Bucha's most compelling and disturbing photographs. This is a very personal and mysterious image of death, and I have never seen anything like it. What did this man see at the time of his death? Whatever it was, his determination remained in the eyes, ”Kennerly writes. |

There are only a few videos where you can tell chechens are engaging in a fight. They are not that careless and fearless anymore. I said that before, seems like most of their videos they are chasing the ghosts.
