Ukrainian air defense shot down the Russian "Kinzhal" hypersonic missile - Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk.

Oleshchuk noted that this happened during a night attack on May 4 in the sky of the Kyiv region. The Kh-47 missile was launched by the MiG-31K from the territory of Russia.

A Russian Kh-47 missile was shot down by the MIM-104 Patriot system.

Russians have injected astronomical funds into the development of such "hypersonic" weapons as Kinzhal and Tsirkon and claim that they cannot be stopped not only by the existing means of anti-missile defense, but also by the promising ones. However, in reality, they are intercepted by the Patriot PAC-3 developed in the 90s.

Thank you for posting that. The last thing I saw was that the spokesman for the UA Air Force was denying it. But looks like today they admitted it. Might have been some kind of breakdown in communication behind the scenes as far as reporting it.
