Damn...i wonder whats the story behind this one.
Russians could easily send prisoners into battle with Ukrainian uniforms. Thats what i would do. The level of confusion would be huge and the prisoners are a write off units anyways. They are not meant to return. Someone said that only 10-15% of prisoners make it through to the end of their contracts...and even then, they are maimed.

The part thats confusing is that the attacker didnt kill them right away either. Its like he tried to disarm them but gave up after the confused guys didnt understand what was going on.
