"By midnight, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to actually lock Lyman into a cauldron. From the north, Stavky is occupied, battles are going on in Zarechny, the Lyman-Torskoe highway is under constant fire from the enemy. Yampil is being stormed from the south. If decisive measures are not taken within a day by the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the fate of Balakliya awaits Lyman. The defenders of the city, represented by BARS detachments, a subdivision of the People's Militia of the LPR and the 20th General Army, will be completely cut off from the main group. If they are destroyed in the city, the entire defensive potential of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on this part of the front will be reduced to nothing. The capture of Lyman will open the doors to Svatove, and then to Kremmina and Rubizhne, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is not yet clear what line the new front will take."

They say Mr. Putin is now directly involved into military decisions now. He prohibited any retreats. Thats the result. Will be even more severe with that de facto pocket north of the Dnepr around Kherson.
