Re: Russian Invasion Ukraine Day 186/187/188/189/190 (Aug 29th, 30, 31, Sept 1, 2)
The nuclear power plant complex again was attacked, before UN investigators are scheduled to arrive. The damage on the roof does not appear to be caused by western weapons. If they score a direct hit then it could even impact Europe so fingers crossed! Edit: I did some open source intelligence gathering and using a Reuters provided image I cross referenced the background. It indeed appears to be the nuclear power plant: |

Looks like there's significant counteroffensive operations taking place in Kherson, Ukranian units are moving south and have reportedly occupied some settlements including Andriivka and Sukhoi stavok. A few new river crossings over the Inhulets. Video is reportedly from a DNR unit at the front, he's saying (Ukranian forces) broke through first line of defense and they're seeing tanks, aviation and artillery. He then gives today's date (29th) |

Re: Russian Invasion Ukraine Day 186/187/188/189/190 (Aug 29th, 30, 31, Sept 1, 2)
Counteroffensive operations of Ukraine have been confirmed by prominent Russian Blogger and former FSB agent Igor Strelkov. I've screen capped this directly from his page. Translation: "On the Kherson front, at the present time (today in the afternoon), the Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a large-scale attack from the bridgehead on the Ingulets River, from the area of the settlement. Andreevka and achieved some progress. All stationary bridges across the Dnieper (two road and two railway) are disabled. It is now possible to cross the Dnieper in vehicles only by ferry and pontoon crossings. Under fierce shelling Novaya Kakhovka, Berislav, Donetsk, Makeevka, Yasinovataya, Gorlovka and many other settlements. On the Kherson front, at the present time (today in the afternoon), the Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a large-scale attack from the bridgehead on the Ingulets River, from the area of the settlement. Andreevka and achieved some progress. Rocket strikes continue on crossings (bridge and ferry) in Kherson. It looks like the ZSU "made their move in the Battle for the Initiative" (if it's not a distraction attack, of course)." |
