And here UA using Presidential Guards squad for his funeral. Highest Honor there is probably, which IMO only fallen heroes of UA deserved to have. Well, which this old man is I assume

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
I think that again confirms the presence of far right nationalism/nazism or whatever you want to call it in Ukraine. I am definitely not one who denies it. I think almost every country with a mostly white population has them. It doesn't mean their running Ukraine. There seem to be nationalists involved in government in Ukraine, but the percentage of that is around 2%, I think. Don't quote me on that but it's low. Poland and Hungary have a larger far right government than Ukraine. Russia also has a very large nationalist population. There are no discrimination laws for gay/transgender nor protection for women in domestic violence situations. In 2019, the ROC helped defeat the possibility to introduce restraining orders and prison time for first time offenders in Russia. The church called the law "antifamily" and blamed it on "radical feminist ideology". Russia also denies the concept of marital rape. These being just a couple of things that may hint to the presence of far right ideology within the Russian government. It should go without saying that Putin seems more concerned over Ukraine's nationalist population than his own, making it obvious that it's an excuse to invade Ukraine. Double standards. It would be irresponsible to deny the presence of nationalists in Ukraine. But it's equally irresponsible and quite hypocritical for a country with a huge nationalist population to invade a country in order to "de-nazify" it. Are they going to include all the ethnic/pro-Russian nationalists living in Crimea and Donbas? I don't think so. Double standards. I've looked into the mirror and admitted that my country, my government is far removed from what I was taught it was supposed to represent. I admit that it likely goes WAY deeper than I will ever know. I fully admit that America and the west has their claws in this war, more than they should. It's unsettling. I admit that our media is a circus and corrupted self serving is everywhere on both sides of the political isle here. I look in the mirror and acknowledge all of it out of the overwhelming fear of being unaware, unconscious, ignorant, and delusional. Why is it so hard for others to do the same? Double standards. Rhetorical question really, I hadn't written a novel in about 12 hours and I was getting the shakes.

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
You're absolutely right and the number of people in russia who are ultranationalists is huge, with official political parties. Russia should be waging war with all of these countries from this list in this picture... This is not about Nazism, Fascism, or Nationalism Just economical, and political land grab. It's bullshit reason to invade same as they did in Georgia as if Georgians were killing south Osetians. Lies. There was some unrest, like everywhere in the world, but thats not a reason to invade. Putin called it "peace operation"... |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Jesus titts! First, what did I do or say in order to receive this type of response? lol I posted some pictures which in fact mind blowing considering that in Germany all this people most likely would sit in jail...and the fact that Presidential squad was involved in this is just mind blowing. Where did I say that there are no far right organizations in Russia? In fact I've said it here plenty of times " every country has them" "In 2019, a bill that would have introduced harsher punishments for first-time offenders, including jail time, was shunned by Russia's conservative groups, including the Orthodox Church. An open letter to Russian President signed by over 100 organizations called the proposal "destructive" and a "product of the radical anti-family ideology of feminism." So its a little backwards from what you have stated Like I said it god knows how many times, Russia has this organizations its stupid to deny that. In a country of 140milllions people with around 200 different nationalities damn sure will be people like that. But they are not even close in terms of governmental recognition to organizations in Ukraine. Hell, they are naming major streets with the names of those who served Germany I remember sometime back in April or so I said something like "Ukraine definitely has nazis, but most of Ukrs are normal people and thats why IMO denazification goal is BS. There are NAZis but deff not enough of them to start full scale war because of it" |
