Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Btw I am watching The Terminal list now, great show. But it got me thinking. In western countries we have psychological support systems and pretty good doctors whereas in countries like Russia or Ukraine they have not. We think 20.000-30.000 lives lost until now is a lot. In the series a woman said around 18 veterans kill themselves… each day. This is in the USA. That would mean since the start of the conflict, on US soil, we have about 3000 soldiers that killed themselves. Imagine how many suicides there will be in Russia and Ukraine. I think they have to commit bigger atrocities, they are less trained, less prepared, don’t have psychological training or evaluation nor do they have a support system when they get home. So it will be hell in the following years for them. Also 10.000 US veterans killed themselves since Biden took office. For the veterans reading this, you know who you are, I hope you are strong enough to continue. You are already strong having survived active duty and the fact that you are still here. I think there will be war with china as well in a few years. Because some people decided it. Not because soldiers want to die, or blow their brains out when they get home traumatised. I just think the system is rotten and most of the world powers are corrupt. Maybe Russia “winning” will cause more suffering in the future? Soldiers fighting will think it could bring a better world. Whereas I believe nato losing power would cause less wars and conflicts in the future. But it could get worse as well. Anyway my point is the earlier comparisons are a bit flawed. But anyway let’s hope this war ends tomorrow and the china war does not start for at least a few years |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
duntez- Ukr rotation reinforcement under Rus artillery fire. Looks like only two survived or not im thinking not. looks like it was chopped up worse than a cartel beheading. i notice how edited everything the Russians release is. zoom in on troops in the open then a clear edit then a boom and who knows how much times changed. usually if you pause and check shadows its like 10 minutes. everyone's gone already plus 3 new arty holes. Ukraine isn't much better, seen the same there but main complaint there is the lack of context or footage that they think is the action portions. way too much over condensing. trying to get that viral video or something else idk. |

I feel like most of the videos even if they have the footage of it they cutting out due to maybe not to show the ugly staff. Like a lot of videos coming from war correspondents and for understandable reasons they don’t show the impact and so on

Yeah looks like that's it, but the video threw me off because it doesn't have that straight recoil compensator with tiny holes on it. Looks like some T-12's have a variety of different ones it it. Thanks |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Russia is no doubt feeling the sanctions. Even though they still make a lot of money on oil and gas, they rely on imports for most tech stuff. And if no one wants to sell you stuff, then it doesn't matter how much money you have. I read that they have instructed pilots to use less braking when landing to reduce brake wear. And we all know about the new Ladas without airbags, ESP, ABS, etc. Putins best bet is to use his Gas-leverage this winter. If he doesn't succeed, EU will be better prepared for next winter and so on. Reminds me I should buy some pallets of firewood. |

“ And we all know about the new Ladas without airbags, ESP, ABS, etc.” I could not find a single article with a source. If China has it, and builds it, Russia was access to it. Europeans pay 2-3 euros per litre for gas. “Guys it’s totally worth it because in return our countries media will produce stories like the one that they don’t have airbags anymore LOL!!” |
