Prominent Leader of ISIS Killed Along with Several Members in Iraq Desert
The military spokesman, on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, announced the death of a number of ISIS members, as well as a prominent leader in the organization, during battles that took place in the Anbar desert.

A statement by the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stated (February 26, 2023), that:

under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, and under the direct supervision of the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service embarked on the dawn duty today, Sunday, to hunt down ISIS terrorist gangs in Akashat, in the desert of Anbar Province, in the west of the country. Our heroic units clashed with ISIS gang members and managed to kill 17 terrorist elements, including a very prominent leader in the ISIS terrorist gangs and other leading elements.

Found a video.

Iraqi Spec Ops clearing ISIS hideouts in the valley region of western Iraq during a recent operation, resulting in 17 ISIS fighters dead among them is a very prominent member, with no reported casualties. (2/26/2023)
