A Border Police officer was lightly wounded Sunday evening in a stabbing attack at the Damascus Gate entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City.

The assailant attacked the officer with a sharp object, before attempting to flee into the Old City, police said.

Other Border Police officers then shot the assailant, killing him.

Hebrew media identified the assailant as Ziad Abu Subeih, 33, from Ar’ara Banegev, a Bedouin town near the southern city of Beersheba.

Magen David Adom paramedics told Hebrew media they arrived at the scene and provided immediate medical care to the stabbed officer, in his 20s, who was fully conscious.

He was then taken to a hospital, suffering a wound to his upper body.

Surveillance camera footage published by the police Sunday evening showed the stabbing.

“I saw a police officer arguing with an unidentified citizen — after a few seconds, [the officer] shouted, ‘Terrorist!'” said the officer who shot the assailant, according to Hebrew media outlets.

The stabbing came days after an Israeli soldier was run over and killed at a West Bank bus stop in an apparent attack, and one week after a Jordanian truck driver shot and killed three Israelis at the Allenby crossing, connecting the West Bank and Jordan.

Amid the spate of attacks, the Israeli military is conducting a major counter-terror operation in the northern West Bank.

The stabbing on Sunday also came amid heightened tensions over the nearby Temple Mount, a site in Jerusalem’s Old City that is considered the holiest place in Judaism and the third-holiest in Islam.

The Hamas terror group praised the stabbing on Sunday, calling it “a natural response to the ongoing crimes of occupation against our people in Gaza and the West Bank, and to the violations and escalating threats against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque,” referring to the Muslim shrine situated inside the Temple Mount.

The statement, reported by Hebrew media, did not appear to include a claim of responsibility for the stabbing.

Gaza sources + IDF report that Mahmoud Abu Saeed, known as "Hafez", was killed by a drone attack near the "A-Shark" bakery in the Netzer neighborhood, western part of Gaza City. Along with Abu Aseed, Saeed A-Tibi and Mohammad Jandia were also killed. (Translator C&P).

I guess you still remember the vid appearing around noon of 10/7. World was pretty shocked to see this guy dragging bloodied Pvt Naama Levy out of the trunk of a stolen IDF Jeep.


In Arab channels they write like:

Vid 1-3: From two weeks ago. I did a quick search, I guess it wasn't posted on DR so far. A muslim tried to support the Palestinian cause and attacked the Israeli Consulate in Munich, Germany. He legally bought an old Mauser model Kar98 + bayonet in Austria. Its either the WW2 rifle Kar98k or one of the longer Kar98 models from WW1.

No one was hurt. There was alot police around from the beginning and after a chase + shotout the perp was cornered and killed (vid 3).

I thought exactly the same. I've read that Shin Bet established a unit which is specialized to identify and to take out these Oct 7th "Raiders" (translator??).

Same location. This guy, captor of Cpl Daniela Gilboa, is gone as well. Also hard to watch scene. Her left leg is wounded by shrapnels and she painfully had to jump all the way on just one leg.



New story. First thought about a hoax, but it seems true. Hizbollah uses old style pagers to communicate with its operatives. Cellphones and other modern means of communication are forbidden for them to use. For opsec reasons. These old pagers seemed to be safe and impossible to hack.




Israel managed to hack and to overload them somethow to let them either melt or explode. First there were reports of 1000 dead/wounded. Then 1200. Now 1500. Irans ambassador in Lebanon, Mujtaba Amani, also has been hit. Still a developing story.










Israeli PM formed a new war coalition. Its said a ground operation vs. Lebanon is imminent to push Hizbollah out of the border region to Israel. The north of Israel is under permanent enemy rocket/ATGM/mortar/missile fire and tenth of thousand citizen got displaced.

IDF medic Staff Sgt Agam Naim is the first female soldier to die in Gaza ground campaign. She got her own jpost article. Agam Naim obviously was about to finish her service in Gaza. Tragic.

Beeper explosions: The Iranian Ambassador Mojtaba Amani lost his right eye and suffered severe trauma to his left one. He got evacuated to Teheran for further treatment. Sources say over 500 terror operatives lost their eyes and are now blind.


Hizbo claim: Nine year old girl killed. Its said she was standing next to her dad, as his pager exploded. I think this might be true for once.


Two more victims. It was planned to use the pagers to spearhead an Israeli ground offensive into Lebanon. But one Hizbollah operative got suspicious. It was all about to use the pagers now or to lose it entirely. They obviously decided to blow them up.

The pagers got sabotaged: Mossad managed to intercept the shipment and injected (?) PETN (an explosive) into the batteries. Others claim they just installed already sabotaged batteries. The batch was produced in Hungary under license of a Taiwanese company.

I was sure that there will be some photos and videos of the pagers operation here. And yes, thank you DR.
Our local news says around 40 casualties /including two children/ and 3000 wounded.
Mosad did impressive job. My great concerns is that they do not care about children live, they already killed far too many children in Gaza.
