You often can't take out modern tanks with AT grenates dropping from drones. You'd need alot luck to hit the right spot like air intakes or something, even than you just disable it. Since we see no follow up smoke or explosion, its probably just cosmetic damage and lost loose equipment which is often stored there in bins.

(Preface this by saying I was on M1A1 and M1A2 tanks for 6 years).

A lot of the tanks now and this Merkava specifically, have what's called blow out panels on the top above the ammo storage compartment, so that when something like this does happen from the top, almost all of the explosion is directed up and outside of the tank. That mortar round could have easily penetrated the blow out panel if it actually hit it and they would have publicized the video 100% if they actually did anything other than destroy some of the crew's gear. I'm absolutely certain the concussion was not pleasant for the crew, but doubt it did anything beyond cosmetic damage.

Almost the entire top of the turret where the crew operates is very thin, then the panels over the back of the hull covering the engine are also thin, so pretty much any mortar round or RPG that comes in contact with the top of the tank is going to penetrate and do damage. This crew really lucked out that it hit the gear instead.
