I can count on more fingers and toes than I have on my body several people who were POWs living in squalor and filth, under consant torture and beatings and threats of death daily... with the end intention of being killed by their captives. They fought, resisted and in some cases escaped... At some point every man, or woman has to come to the realization that the people holding them are not their friends and come to the consensus that it is the life of the captor or their own... My main takeaway point is as such... Fight, resist, do anything you can because in the end everyone dies, it just matters if it was on your terms or theirs... |

This just isn't true. There are and have been countless situations where someone worsened their chance of being killed because of resisting. We don't know most of them because we never hear the stories from the people who died, but many survivors of these kinds of situations have told stories where someone else being held along side them tried to resist and it cost them their lives. |

How about they drop their weapons, take off their masks and challenge the prisoners to a fist fight? Oh that's right - they won't because they are little cowards.  |
