And now the world knows that Wagner does not listen to Putin and is not under Russian control, so I guess they are the perfect tool for the job to finish off Kiev once their civil war has started.

This has shown Putin to be very weak, and coupled with the piss-poor turn out of the Russian military in Ukraine over the last 16 months, this will be only the first coup attempt. I'm all about national pride Faust, but when it gets delusional I don't see how it's a benefit anymore. You have to recognize the problem first if you're ever going to have the chance to fix it.

Russia is a corrupt country sure, but in this corrupt world I believe they are often the lesser evil. I’d still rather live in California compared to Siberia but thanks for your input and sorry that I often come across as Putin jr.

The deputy commander of the joint group of Russian troops in Ukraine, General Sergei Surovikin, was arrested. This information was provided to The Moscow Times by two sources close to the apparatus of the Ministry of Defense. Officially, the department has not commented on this information.

“There, the story with him was not “OK”. For power. I can’t say anything more,” one of the sources commented on the reason for the arrest.

Wagner mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin is reportedly sequestered in a windowless room following his abandoned march on Moscow, amid fears he will fall victim to a "mysterious" death like others who have angered Vladimir Putin.

Speaking to MSNBC, the US Senate intelligence committee chair Mark Warner said a move by Prigozhin to mitigate a potential assassination attempt showed where his relationship with the Russian president stood.

"I understand, literally as I was coming on air, he says he's in Minsk and actually is – get this – there are reports he is in one of the only hotels in Minsk that doesn't have any windows," Warner said.

Actually rumors are there is big cleaning going on withing Russian military staff. Not sure how true but usually that’s what happened after military coup attempt. The same happened in Turkey.
