Just face facts. Alot of the deaths were murders. When you see a bloated soggy body floating then it is more than likely a drowning. When you see a battered body bleeding out on pavement then it's a killing. Soggy, bloaty, floaty is a drowing. Battered bleeding body is murder. There is after all a difference.

state of the LOCAL authorities, and you get Katrina.
Bangladesh has had these sorts of disasters hit every year

I live in the NOLA burbs on the Westbank of the Mississippi, we stayed with my sister in Lafayette for about a month. And I put the blame on what happened in that city squarely on the shoulders of Kathleen Blankstare, Ray Noggin, and Aaron Blowshard. Blankstare waitied till after the storm hit to activate the National Guard, Noggin and Broussard waited until the last minute to call for a mandatory evac, and Blowshard had his cute little blow up on TV about having to shit in a bucket...and don't get me started on Noggin's whole "Chocolate City" bullshit. Drop the goddamned "let's blame Bush for everything" mantra, it's old and warn out.

Under what logical train of thought could you think a natural disaster would be "punishment" for the wrongs of human-beings? I don't believe you believe that for a second, you're just expressing what an uneducated, truly AWFUL human being you are. I'm going to humour you here and ask; if that were the case and Katrina was some sort of Karmic retribution upon New Orleans, why are you still alive? Why is the United States still the United States? If any of what you've just inferred was a logical possibility you and the very nation you hail from would CEASE to exist. It would've been devastated and taken off the map long ago.

Thankfully that isn't the case because I wouldn't wish that on even you nor would I act indifferently about the MASS loss of life.
