Saudi Civil Defence Officer Dies After Fall From Helicopter
A Saudi Civil Defence officer tragically lost his life in an accident during the World Civil Defence Day celebrations in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The officer, identified as First Class Pvt Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah Al Qah’tani, suffered fatal injuries after falling from a helicopter. The incident occurred on Saturday morning in the vicinity of Gharnata Mall's parking lot. Al Qah’tani, reportedly, fell from an approximate height of 250 meters, according to local daily Al Sharq. Despite immediate efforts, he succumbed to the severe injuries and fractures sustained in the fall. Al Qah’tani, who was nearing the end of a two-year assignment in Riyadh, had plans to return to Abha and get married the following month, as reported by Okaz newspaper. His untimely death has caused a wave of mourning among his colleagues, family, and the wider community, highlighting the risks civil defence officers face in their line of duty. |

Its wasn't the fall that killed him, but the sudden stop at the end.
