Subconsciously, Hitler was profoundly self-destructive.

Beneath his overwhelming desire for Absolute Power was an even greater compulsion. That for self-extinction.

Everything that was done by that regime was ultimately guided by Hitler's irresistible desire for self-destruction.

Although, ultimately successful in his most primal aim, it's too bad it took him so long.
