I do not know if this is true, but I have been told that MAMALS other than humans and some apes are born with the instinct to swim and can do it at an early age if put in a water environment.

Humans have the instinct, but usually have to Learn to swim. That is why infants are sometimes "taught" to swim at a very young age....

Good pics Sada .

An Elephant was spotted swimming in the sea 15 km from the shore , it was spotted by a light aircraft and photo`d .
Elephants are great swimmers .
Most animals are good swimmers .
