Interesting. I am a bit Biased on the subject sadly and don't trust Islam. I was 15 years old and had a muslim friend's father grab me and try to molest me then lie to the police and say he was grabbing his dog off my lap. Dog was nowhere near the living room we were in. I think they were from lebanon or somewhere like that, I don't remember. I can't trust people who by their religion have no condemnation toward that kind of treatment towards women and children among other things...I don't know if the average Muslim would truly be my friend or just be nice to my face to tolerate me since their religion says to hate me...I would never be mean or racist to them, I just choose to disassociate myself from them personally.

I guess I should add, I find the whole Islam politics and wars fascinating...I did not go back to school after that incident because my ''friend'' who's father did that to me threatened to kill me numerous times, threw rocks at me and would follow me around.

As a muslim, i condemn what happened to you. Islam guarantees right to women and children. During warfare, we are expected not to attack women, children and elderly persons.

We ought to be kind to the children since they are the future. Unfortunately, child molesters are everywhere, and they ought to be punished severely.

Islam is not a religion which is racist or is a cultural way of life. Islam has been brought as a solution to humanity. Just watch video of people praying during hajj, where people or different, colour, race, culture and country, social status are praying shoulder to shoulder, all equal in from of Allah, our creator except in level of piety.

Interesting, my husband works with mostly muslims from pakistan and theyre all nice people so I've nothing agaisnt them personally...I hear so many contradicting things about the religion that it's peaceful, that it isn't, and of course as you know the media doesn't help with the image of Islam. I've had bad experience personally with 1 family but I try not to paint them all with the same brush, I guess the incident just made me weary and defensive for myself. Are you a muslim yourself? You seem like a fairly nice person! what do you think about the wars in the ME?

I am a born muslim. There was a time when i was at the university, i turned agnostic. Yet it was always on my mind that if ever there is a GOD, there should be only ONE. While i did some research on the different religions, i was convinced in the Authenticity of ISLAM. I learned about Islam from the book and if i learned about ISLAM by watching muslims and their acts, i would never have known the beauty of ISLAM.

First of all, I my self are Christian and anti Muslim (the faith not the human). I live and grew up in Denmark (Copenhagen). I was more or less raised with Muslims, more than 1/3 of my class was Muslims, in Denmark we have the same classmates for 10 years. I have a lot of Muslim friends and I can say a lot great things about them and the culture, I have Muslims friends from almost all the Muslim country's and a common denominator, is when you first befriend them, the hospitality is unheard of, I love the food, I love the way they all respect the elders, and they really do, we can lean something there. But, but, but the religion is a piece of, like you all say medieval piece of crap, and oh my fucking good (sorry to ally friends) but how can it be that I never meet a Mulslim, that dint at some time, tried to preace his fucking shit on me. With respect, I shall try to tell you why people are wary of Islam,in a way they are NOT wary of Jews, Christians,Buddhists etc.
In short,we are as scared as fuck of your most militant & vehement followers who have a 'Convert,submit or die' philosophy.
All religions are guilty of extremism,intolerance,poor treatment of women,non-believers,apostates. Thankfully,for the majority of thse religions,the worst of their atrocities are largely behind us in the West since the Age of Enlightenment .
But it is the sheer and utter embracing of violence that makes Islam scary.The utter REFUSAL to take ANY criticism with grace or kindness.
Jokes about Christians will get you a few strongly worded letters to a tv network.
Criticism of Islam will get you death threats.Theo Van Gogh was murdered.The cartoonist of the 'Draw Mohammed Day' idea had to change her identity & go into hiding. Salman Rushdie was under virtual house arrest for 20 yrs. Terrorist attacks in the UK. 9/11.Sharia courts in the UK. The self-appointed 'Sharia Police' in the UK accosting people on the street & telling them that that suburb is governed by Sharia law & conviscating their wine or screaming homophobic rants at perceived gay people.

Comedians like Sarah Silverman won't make jokes about Islam because they are TERRIFIED of your most extreme guys killing them. Because they DO make good on their threats.
I gotta tell you,seeing ISIS guys holding up heads of their countrymen because they picked the wrong type of Islam is SCARY.
Any Islamic theocracy has a TERRIBLE record of human rights. The Quran can say women are revered all it wants,that is NOT how most islamic states interpret the texts. Try divorcing an abusive male spouse in these theocracies.Try leaving the house without hijab & not get accosted. In Afghanistan,widows often starved to death in the worst of the Taliban years,if they did not have a male relative to escort them outside the house.
I am not saying Islam is intrinsically at its core a religion any worse than any other. But in the 21 Century,it continues to have the most oppressive theocracies,the most vicious terrorists and the worst human rights abuses.Whatever the texts actually say,it's how is is PRACTISED that matters. As the saying goes,"By ye fruits shall ye know them."
And then you have the guys like Ibrahim Conlon who say they're going to overthrow western democracies & institute sharia law.

If Islam can have an Enlightment & exist in a post-secular world where each follower is allowed to follow their own conscience,leave the religion if they want,stay out of government,respect human rights,then I have no type of problem with that kind of Islam.
Believe it or not,I am NOT an Islamophobe. When this man was screaming at this poor lady in full hijab that 'it shouldn't be allowed' I told him to fuck off. That this is is a free country & this lady was harming no one & had a right to dress & worship how she wanted.
