It's actually an Australian red back spider, Trust that to happen in Australia where 95% of our native fauna can kill you lol!
Neither the snake or red back could kill an adult human.

Neither the snake or red back could kill an adult human.
The snake no, but there are rare cases of people being killed by a red back bite if left untreated.

Absolutely sure it's a black window. Look at the hourglass mark on the belly of its abdomen. We have them in our storage shed.

I too think it's a black widow, because of the hourglass shape. But then again, I always thought black widows preferred dark secluded places. Never having seen an Australian red back I might be wrong.. Cool pics though.
